About

Darren Watkins

"I didn't walk into this looking for transformation. But that's what I got."

I've spent my life operating in high-performance environments — the RAF, professional rugby, and twenty years at the sharp end of technology sales and executive leadership. I understood discipline, pressure, and what it takes to perform consistently at the top.

Then, in September 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Multiple organs. A 12cm tumour. A spleen twice its normal size.

I had a choice. Accept the treatment, stay passive, and hope for the best. Or do what I'd always done: take ownership, build a system, and fight on every front I could control.

In March 2026, my consultant paused, looked up from my scan results, and said the words neither of us fully expected: "You've achieved complete metabolic remission."

This site is what came after — the system I built, what I learned, and why I believe it applies far beyond what I went through.

No single one of these was a silver bullet. Together — consistently — they change the environment your body operates in. The goal was never to chase a cure. It was to create the best possible conditions for one.

Fasting
65-hour water-only fasts straddling every chemo cycle. Now an ongoing daily practice rooted in autophagy and metabolic health.
Cold exposure
Daily ice bath. Not punishment — a deliberate stimulus. Immune activation, cortisol regulation, mental resilience.
Resistance training
Heavy lifting throughout treatment. Muscle as metabolic armour. Not gym culture — functional strength as medicine.
Breathwork
Daily breathwork practice for nervous system regulation, oxygen saturation, and stress reduction.
Lymphatic drainage
Seven daily exercises drawn from Tai Chi and Qigong. The lymphatic system has no pump — movement is the medicine.
Nutrition
Total overhaul. No seed oils. No ultra-processed food. 30 plant varieties per week. Fermented food daily. Back in the kitchen.
Supplementation
Targeted, timed, purposeful. Magnesium, Vitamin D+K2, B vitamins, Omega-3s. What I don't take matters as much as what I do.
Hyperbaric oxygen
Regular HBOT sessions throughout treatment. Oxygen-rich environment as a complement to the wider protocol.
Digital Twin
A ChatGPT model built from my haematology letters and blood results. Consulted on daily walks. Top 3% global user by end of 2025.
The philosophy

What I believe now

Your illness story is the ignition point, not the endpoint.

Most people make the mistake of framing what happened to them as the whole story. It isn't. The diagnosis was the forcing function. What I built in response to it is what matters — and it applies whether you've faced a health crisis or simply want to operate at a higher level.

You cannot control the outcome. You can absolutely influence it.

I respected the treatment completely. I also refused to outsource everything to it. The 1% principle isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about doing the small things consistently — and trusting that they compound.

The body is a system. Systems respond to environment.

Modern medicine excels at treating symptoms. What it often misses is the environment that allowed those symptoms to develop. Change the environment — through food, movement, sleep, fasting, stress, connection — and you change the conditions in which the body operates.

Remission isn't a finish line. It's a responsibility.

The protocol didn't end when the scans came back clear. If anything, it became more important. Because now I know what's possible when you take this seriously — and I'm not going back to how I was living before.

Speaking, media & collaboration

I'm open to conversations about speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and collaborations relevant to performance, recovery, longevity, and leadership. If you're working on something that fits, get in touch.
